And the man lay on his death-bed!  He knew that soon he was to draw his last breath in this lifetime and that his next experiences would be of the life hereafter.  While his breath was laboured and his body seeking the last amounts of life energy that would enable him through the remaining moments, he felt no sadness or anxiety, no fear or trepidation about what was to come.  It was as if “everything was as it should be” and that his chosen God would be awaiting his arrival when he crossed the threshold and released himself from the body that had served him well.  Yet while he lay there, his great desire was to be with those that had meant the most to him in this lifetime, and it was so that he summoned each of these people in turn to his bedside so that he could say his final goodbyes. More
