The Music of the Soul:
A Pathway to a Rich and Fulfilling Life
I don’t know about you, but I hate being confronted with people who tell me that they have supposedly ‘made it’ in this world. It’s similar to the feeling you get when you pick up a ‘self-help’ book that’s written through the perspective that the writer has ‘got it’ – especially when it describes the heady heights of life attainment to which I can only aspire. Whatever the level of attainment, this separation tends to create a ‘disconnect’ between the reader and the writer and does little to aid the problem of FTI & I (Failure to Implement and Improve) for the reader of that particular book.
At its very core, “The Music of the Soul: A Pathway to a Rich and Fulfilling Life” is designed and written to encourage you the reader to ‘bring out your best and realise your fullest potential’. In other words, it’s not about aspiring to be rich, famous or enlightened like another person, but rather about realising your own self-worth and sense of life purpose. It is designed to help you ‘find your own pathway’ and move forward to a more rich, satisfying and fulfilling life - whatever your circumstances. The Music of the Soul comprises 21 chapters (called Sonata’s) that are philosophies that work and which I apply to my own ‘everyday’ living. Within each Sonata there are three essential components to help you through your journey. These are:
- Parables and Stories to help connect with your own life experiences and motivations.
- An unfolding narration (between a genealogy of ducks) to help see, feel and experience the challenges and achievements of the individual ducks, through the perspective of your own individual lives, families and relationships.
- Practical, everyday suggestions that work to help identify and act on your personal goals.
